Mural Design and Installation

Craft tasked me with creating a mural inside their newest location in Victoria, BC. The building and space is a beautiful collection of brick and wood beams with loads of modern accents, juxtapozed by vintage signage and classic window framing, letting in a ton of natural light. Craft wanted to compliment the space with a piece that created a focal point using a bold palette and composition of figures and shapes. To touch on the location, we played on the surfing culture of Vancouver Island while adding in agricultural attributes of water, trees and fish. Finally a small homage was paid to the previous occupants ‘Canoe Brewing’ with a figure surfing a canoe.
